Windows Phone Store ® Certification Test Results Fail

Hi,

I add slartoolkit.dll for Augmented reality purpose. I working good in my testing mobile(Nokia lumia 510). Then i sent that xap file to Windows app store but they rejected the following reason.

__The application terminates unexpectedly in response to user input.
Steps to Reproduce:__
Launch the application.
Enter valid credentials.
Select "Augmented Reality".
Notice the application unexpectedly terminates.
and they give the following suggestion.

Depending on the underlying cause of the issue encountered, the following resources may provide useful guidance to resolve:
"Product ID": Avoid hard-coded logic based on the original Product ID. If your application design requires using logic based on a Product
ID, use the Windows Phone Store assigned non-volatile Product ID instead
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/ff769509(v=vs.105).aspx).
"ScheduledActionService.LaunchForTest Method": This method should only be used during development. You should remove calls to this
method from your production application
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/microsoft.phone.scheduler.scheduledactionservice.launchfortest(v=vs.10
5).aspx).
"Data for Windows Phone | Installation folder": Don’t write to the InstalledLocation folder in your production application release
submitted for certification (http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windowsphone/develop/ff402541(v=vs.105).aspx)
"Capability Detection": Double check that the capabilities required by your application are declared correctly. You can do this by running
the Windows Phone Capability Detection Tool, as described at How to: Use the Windows Phone Capability Detection Tool
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg180730.aspx).
I don't know what is the problem. and i worked a weeks but till now i have any solution. Please any one give me a suggestion.

It could by anything. You might want to provide the XAP here, otherwise it'll be impossible to help with those few pointers given above.

Also make sure to test suspends-resume correctly and see that the camera resource is freed up correctly as well when the app is moved away from the foreground.

Got it now and tried the app. It did not crash on me, but the AR thing is a bit weird. As soon as an AR marker was detected, a video was loaded and that happened not in a predictable manner. Also other sections of the app like the photo upload didn't work.
I would suggest that you step back a bit and do a full testing round and maybe even a beta app release to get testers of the app.

Hi,

Have a problem on Windows mobile while testing on the app that have been created.
The app have been tested on the mobile (Nokia Lumia 510,520) about 7 times and works well.
But the Microsoft test center had tested and reported it as " App, getting crashed while AR menu option opens up.
And believe they have tested on the model (HTC 8S, HTC Radar 4G, HTC Titan, Nokia Lumia 610, Nokia
Lumia 820, Samsung Focus S).

The section that you are reporting as the photo upload, worked well.
Probably the server request would have been a bit slow while you had tested.
Could you be kind enough in checking the same?
Also could you let us know as to what model you have tested this? and any possible solution for the reported
error from Microsoft test center?
